Winter on the South Bruce Peninsula.
My contribution to Six Word Saturday.

Saturday morning of week 38 saw me on the Lake Huron shoreline in Southampton, Ontario. There had been strong winds on Friday and overnight which caused the waves to come crashing onto the shoreline. I was at the flagpole at the bottom of High Street in Southampton and the waves were breaking on the rocks surrounding the flagpole.
The deep blue sky and fluffy white clouds were a big change from the weather the previous day and early Saturday morning. Chantry Island and it’s lighthouse is on the horizon.
The low angle of the late afternoon sun makes me think of sugar the way it’s picked out the texture of the snow.
I picked this shot for week 4 because we haven’t seen much sun or blue sky since I started this 52 week photo project. It was nice seeing the sun shining on a Paper Birch standing out against a blue sky.
