A photo from a recent walk. The tree trunks make me think of legs.

Winter landscapes from the 1980s

Some photos from Cheshire, England in the 1980s. As this part of Ontario is currently in a deep freeze and there’s a couple of feet of snow on the ground these photos make me think of warmer winters and much less snow.

Some trees in mist with snow on the ground at sunrise in south Cheshire.

An Introduction

Welcome to my first post. I am David Meredith, I got interested in photography in the mid ’70s, studied it in the late ’70s and have been a photographer ever since.

Originally from Cheshire, England I now live in Ontario, Canada.

This blog will be a combination of a 52 week photo project for 2018 and other posts covering 40 years of my photos. The 52 week photo project is a challenge to myself to shoot as wide a variety of subjects over the next year as possible.

One of my earliest photos, trees in snow. Taken in Hatherton, Cheshire in the mid ’70s using an Olympus OM1 loaded with Ilford FP4.

And a recent photo from a couple of days ago. Grass in snow, taken on the South Bruce Peninsula, Ontario.

I don’t just photograph flora in snow but you will have to wait for my second post to see if that’s true. As this is my first post there may be layout and design changes to this before a second post.
