Intentional camera movement where the camera is moved during exposure and live composite where the camera record’s movement during exposure.

Follow Your Bliss

This is my contribution to the Lens-Artists Photo Challenge: Follow Your Bliss prompt.

I had a couple of ideas for the prompt but I wasn’t happy with either and was going to skip this challenge.

Then I thought about my “Back to Basics” project and decided to make the post about that.

A few years ago I got tired of the auto everything aspect of modern digital equipment. As a result I put together a small kit of manual focus prime lenses and started shooting digital the same way I used to shoot film for years. Getting back to the basics of photography.

Recently I discovered TTArtisan lenses. Tiny manual focus lenses designed for small mirrorless cameras. So I put together a compact, lightweight kit based around them.

Lens-Artists: Follow Your Bliss

Reflected in the Ripples

Getting Back to Basics: Pink Cloud Reflected in the Ripples

Pink cloud over Colpoy’s Bay on the South Bruce Peninsula, Ontario shortly before sunrise being reflected in the ripples on the water.

Twelve months ago the rocks in the shallows were barely visible. The water level in the bay has dropped over a foot since last autumn.

Taken recently with my getting back to basics Olympus kit using the TTArtisan 50mm lens. This may be the first post in what may become Back to Basics Saturday.
